Flora on the Trail: Fall Creek Falls

It’s always a beautiful walk at Fall Creek Falls. Regina led a second hike at Mayo River State on Saturday, October 15th.  Attendees benefited from forest bathing and the waterfall effects, which are very healthy ecological interactions.  Hikers learned about some plants, the history of Anglins Mill, and Wm Byrd II who surveyed the state line between Virginia and North Carolina which runs through the park.  The VMNs earned 2 continuing education hours.
