President's Message

We are beginning a new year full of hope and sentiment that things will return to normal. When we ponder the notion of what is normal, we ask ourselves do we really want normal? Global warming, extinct species, destruction of wildlife habitat, air and water pollution, starvation and hunger, civil unrest, hatred, bigotry, and threat of war has been the norm. As for me I say NO to the normal! As Master Naturalist we all should say no to returning to the normal. Not us, we want to be positively abnormal, we want progressive change. We want things to be better. Our quest is to heal the earth and preserve our natural resources. We cannot do it alone.  We must recruit, lead, and involve our communities in our projects and activities. Let’s get to work. Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.
