Our 2022 Basic Training class began on August 8th with 19 students enrolled. Our first field trip was yesterday. Students learned about both the 'Save Our Stream' and 'CWQM' protocols for testing water quality. Over 200 macro-invertebrates were collected and sorted. The creek received a rating of 12 out of 12!

The sample for E.Coli is showing no E.coli colonies after 48 hours in the incubator. E.coli colonies would show up as purple colonies. The pink colonies are a different species of bacteria that are not of concern.
