Bug Festival

Yikes- VMNH was covered in bugs on Jan 28 for the public attending the annual Bugfest.  13 naturalists logged about 40 volunteer hours during the festival. At the Outreach exhibit, 400 of the attendees learned about the invasive Spotted Lanternfly.  22 of the visitors to our table Expressed interest in helping the chapter search for egg casings and receiving more information. 6 Adults expressed interest in VMN training and project work in the community. We’d also like to thank Corey Reidel from VCE for bringing his hissing beetles for our table exhibit.
